Doxiproct act on the wall of the capillary blood vessels, regulating their physiological functions of resistance and permeability, also it has an anti-inflammatory action. Lidocaine has local anesthetic properties that rapidly contribute in soothing pain.
- Contraindications and cautions:
Doxiproct is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
It is a very suitable medicine for internal and external haemorrhoids. Doxiproct is used by patients with anal pruritus, anitis, perianitis, cryptitis, papillitis, acute haemorrhoidal thrombosis, anal fissures. It is used in pre- and postoperative treatment in cases of haemorrhoidectomy.
- Method of application:
1 suppository two times per day
- Special precautions:
Doxiproct is not recommended for patients with renal insufficiency.
- Side effects:
In rare cases side effects can appear: itch sensation, transitory local pain, cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions and fever. Doxiproct can modify intestinal transit. If a rash or any other sign of an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medicine.
